Beasts 

(Students may bring one of the following)

Dogs

War dogs

Fierce dogs, like mastiffs, used to guard camps and fight in battle.
*If chosen - must provide dog armor.

Hunting dogs

Spanieals are used to kill birds.
Greyhounds are bread their speed for the chase.
Basset hounds are used to sniff out game.

Birds

Pigeons

Birds used to send secret messages to allies.

Falcons

Used to intercept and kill pigeons.

Horses

If you choose this beast you must have four different horses:

• Stumper (pack horse must be a strong horse)
• Nag (riding horse preferably well-tempered)
• Destrier (war horse a fast and healthy horse 
• Palfrey (quality riding horse)

Weapons

Melee (Choose two)

• Caltrop: A small spiked ball thrown to the ground to trip horses
• Dagger: A small blade
• Lance: A long-shafted spear
• Mace: A metal pole topped by a large ball
• Pollaxe: A lance with a single axe blade attached 
• Great axe: A large single bladed axe  
• Battle axe: A heavy double bladed axe
• Great sword: A larger sword 
• Sword: A simple blade 
• Falchion: basically a medieval machete
• Flail: A wooden handle and a spiked ball connected by a chain

Long-range (If training for marksman)

• Bow: A simple bow
• Longbow: A larger bow made for longer range
• Crossbow: A small sideways bow mounted on a wooden stock that fires iron bolts
• Gun: A arrow firing device that is fired with the light of a fuse

Wizards only 

• Magic staff: A large branch topped with a magical crystal 
• Magic sword: An enchanted sword
• Wand: A magic stick
